Ceatus Media Group recently completed the acquisition of 23 websites, formerly owned by My Choice Medical Holdings, with information related to cosmetic and plastic surgery. These websites provide comprehensive articles about a wide range of aesthetic enhancement procedures, including facelift, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery, as well as details about procedure cost, such as about the cost of breast implants. Ceatus plans to expand the content in these sites and offer directories for cosmetic and plastic surgeons who would like to connect with consumers who have an interest in these procedures.

Articles about the three different locations for breast implant placement and the four different types of incisions for breast augmentation, such as tuba breast augmentation, are included. Also outlined are the different types of breast implants, with the most recent information on saline vs silicone breast augmentation. The Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery had a record month of traffic in November, with two weeks in a row surpassing 45,000 unique visitors. The breast surgery section of this website accounts for about 40% of the traffic.

Plastic Surgery Traffic Blows Past 2008 Levels

The number of visitors to the Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery continued to surge as summer turned to fall. During the first week of October, traffic for this one-stop resource exceeded 1.7 unique visitors, surpassing the total number of visitors for 2008. Comprehensive content related to cosmetic surgery, such as male breast reduction, and non-invasive enhancement procedures, such as laser hair removal and tattoo removal, contribute to the continued traffic growth.

With society’s emphasis on looking young and with burgeoning new technologies for body enhancement, male cosmetic surgery is growing in popularity. Breast Cancer Testing and Prophylactic Mastectomy

Information about breast cancer testing related to the BREA gene has been added to the Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery.  Studies show that altered copies of the BREA 1 or 2 gene increase a woman’s chances of getting breast and/or ovarian cancer. Approximately   0.1 to 0.2 percent of the population carry this mutation. Data shows that prophylactic mastectomy, removal of one or two of the breasts, can reduce the cancer rate in patients who carry the mutated gene by 90%. The website contains a wide range of information about plastic surgery and skin care, including articles related to BOTOX injections, Dysport and breast implants complications.   The sister website provides information about other types of cancer, such as mesothelioma cancer.

Many Markets Now Sold Out in Plastic Surgeon Directory

The Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery continues its upward trend in traffic. Each month, many additional board-certified plastic surgeons join the directory. Some of the markets are now sold-out and plastic surgeons are placed on a waiting list to obtain listings for their local area. Chicago, Orange County, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Toronto are a few of the markets with no availability for plastic surgeons. The success of the site is due in large part to its comprehensive information about aesthetic plastic surgery and to its dominant rankings on Google for a range of important search terms, including breast lift, breast augmentation, liposuction, gynecomastia, breast reduction and many others.
