Dentistry Site Surpasses One Million Visitors

Consumer Guide to Dentistry served its one millionth visitor for the year on July 18, reaching this traffic milestone more than two months earlier than in 2009, when the Guide surpassed one million visitors on September 21. The rapid traffic growth is expected to push the total number of visitors in 2010 above 1.9 million, representing a 32 percent increase over 2009.


Beyond the addition of new articles covering topics that include Dash teeth whitening, tooth discoloration and endodontics, Consumer Guide to Dentistry has improved its positioning in search engines like Google for these popular consumer search terms,  TMJ treatment, dental insurance, wisdom teeth removal and Invisalign cost.

Ceatus to Exhibit at CEREC 2010 – Las Vegas

Ceatus Media Group will exhibit at the upcoming CEREC 2010 meeting in Las Vegas. The Internet consultants staffing the Ceatus booth will offer attendees the ability to list their practices with Consumer Guide to Dentistry, a comprehensive consumer portal providing information about all aspects of dentistry, including dental insurance and the cost of Invisalign. The dental directory helps the more than 150,000 consumers who visit the site each month to find a dentist. Ceatus also offers SEO (search engine optimization) services and website design. The Ceatus staff will provide a free SEO website evaluation for those dentists who visit the booth.

Ceatus Exhibits at AACD Meeting in Dallas

Ceatus Media Group exhibited at the recent AACD meeting in Dallas from April 27 to 30. Cosmetic dentists who visited the booth were most interested in two Ceatus services: being listed in the Consumer Guide to Dentistry and SEO (search engine optimization) programs for their practice websites. Consumer Guide to Dentistry now has more than 80 dentists listed in 70 markets across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America. The site provides an array of articles related to oral health, including information about wisdom tooth extraction and TMJ symptoms, as well as cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as veneers. The portal helps consumers to learn about these topics and then find a dentist.

Dentist Directory Adds New International Markets

The Consumer Guide to Dentistry Dentist Directory has expanded its International coverage with the addition of three Latin American markets. Dentists from Tijuana and Cancun, Mexico, and San Jose, Costa Rica, are the most recent additions to the growing directory. Prospective dental patients within these markets can connect with dentists for a variety of popular treatments like dental crowns, Lumineer veneers, TMJ treatment, etc. Also, patients interested in travel or “destination” dentistry may consider heading south of the border for affordable treatment offered in the most relaxing of settings. However, keep in mind that dental insurance may not provide out-of-country coverage.

Articles educating consumers about ClearCorrect, Mechanical Toothbrushes and Buying Mechanical Toothbrushes have been added to Consumer Guide to Dentistry, supplementing the site’s 100 plus pages of comprehensive, dentist-reviewed content. The ClearCorrect article introduces consumers to the relatively new orthodontic appliance that is similar in design and effect to Invisalign. Prospective orthodontic patients can evaluate the pros and cons of ClearCorrect treatment, and compare its cost with the cost of braces. The mechanical toothbrush articles are featured in the dental health section of Consumer Guide to Dentistry with popular articles that include dental sealants, fluoride and xylitol information.

A new article featured on Consumer Guide to Dentistry discusses the practice of “green dentistry,” a sect of dental care focused on the delivery of treatment in an eco-friendly manner. The philosophy of green dental practices is outlined in the article; to increase efficiency while reducing their impact on the environment. Green innovations include the use of digital radiography, biodegradable disinfectants and steam sterilization and metal-free restorations (like Lumineers and dental crowns). The eco-friendly article compliments more than 100 pages of consumer-friendly dental information covering all aspects of care, including dental plaque, tooth decay, xylitol, dentures and more.
